M.A.X - Mechanized Assault & Exploration

M.A.X. gets my vote as the most under-appreciated PC strategy game of all time.  It was released by Interplay in 1996, to critical praise but limited popularity.

The best way to play it is with DOS Box.  You can just set "cycles=auto" in the current release.

The notes here are based on v1.04 of the game, which included some AI upgrades.
